Basic Rye Bread

Hodgson Mill

Ingredients

1 c PLUS 2 Tbsp. warm water
2 Tbsp. molasses
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
2 c HODGSON MILL BEST FOR BREAD FLOUR
1 1/2 c HODGSON MILL RYE FLOUR
3 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cocoa
3/4 tsp caraway seeds
2 tsp HODGSON MILL FAST-RISE YEAST

Preparation

Place ingredients in the pan according to your machine’s directions. Set for Whole Wheat cycle with light crust setting.

Makes 1 1lb loaf. Each loaf: 1759 calories; 40 g. dietary fiber; 382 g. carbohydrates; 54 g. protein; 21 g. fat; 2 g. saturated fat; 0 mg. cholesterol; 2387 mg. sodium.
