Black Walnut Blondies

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
2 teaspoons orange flavoring
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped black walnuts
1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9×13-inch pan. Beat brown sugar and margarine in large mixing bowl until it is light and fluffy. Add orange flavoring and eggs until well blended.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, ginger, and salt; add to orange mixture, mix well. Stir in chips. Spread batter in pan. Sprinkle with black walnuts. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and set. Cool completely in pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into squares. Makes 36 brownies.
